Summer at the Lake

Good evening neighbors!

I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful spring transitioning into summer in our neighborhood. I’m pleased to share a few important updates.

- Levee repairs: We’ve completed Phase 1 of the Barbara Lake Levee repair and are continuing efforts to fund and plan Phase 2. Your assessments are helping us move forward smoothly.

- Be aware of our beaver neighbor: There has been notable beaver activity near our trees and culverts. Lara and Tom pitched in to help clean up this week, while Frank enjoyed a well-deserved break. We’re grateful for the teamwork!

- Maintenance plans: Memphis Water Gardens will be providing quarterly maintenance for the Barbara and Louise levees. They’ll be stopping by in the next week or two to help tidy up the area affected by our beaver neighbor’s activity.

- Weed control: We will spray one more time to eradicate remaining water weed and prevent regrowth. Lara and Philip will be driving around the lakes to spray. If you see them, please don’t be alarmed—it's all part of keeping our lakes healthy. If you have concerns or special needs, please respond to this email and let us know.

- Dues reminder: Dues for 2026/2027 will be issued in June. If you haven’t paid yet, the assessment will appear on your invoice.
